Closely in touch with our country’s artistic exuberance, Die Ou Pastorie provides the ideal environment to showcase talented people and this has been one of the cleverest ways through which we have achieved significant brand differentiation. Our music events are extremely well patronised and so you will have to book in advance if you desire to experience these.
Notable performers to visit Die Ou Pastorie include legendary South African musicians Jesse Clegg, Steve Newman, Guy Buttery, Arno Carstens, Koos Kombuis, Greg Georgiades, Dayne Rothbletz and Michael Plaxton-Harrison, Andra, Chris Chameleon, Wendy Oldfield, the duo of Josie Field and Laurie Levine, Gerald Clarke, Dan Patlansky, Saudiq Khan and James Grace to mention but a few headline names.

Dan Patlansky returns to Our Garden Stage
Dan ended 2016 on a high, his album Introvertigo was voted best blues album of 2016. Once again we are delighted to host Dan “Under the Trees” at Die Ou Pastorie.
“Everyone is talking about this South African singer/guitarist these days. You will be too after you’ve wrapped eardrums around this potent dose of blues rock.” The Blues Magazine UK, August 2015
“Dan Patlansky showed the way of the future for guitaring and Satch showed off the last 20 years of pure skill and raw talent. I more than just enjoyed this show… I respected it.” Manchester Rocks, November 2015
“Dan Patlansky entered the stage and introduced himself with a soothing voice… the guitar work was face-melting.” Metal Recusants, November 2015
“Dan Patlansky pulls the strap off his guitar. It’s a sure sign that something spectacular is about to happen, even though the musician has already won over Joe Satriani’s fans.” Graffiti.Punctuated, November 2015
From time to time Cat Simone and Paul Spence from the KZN Midlands do bespoke, eclectic dinner theatres. Cat and Paul’s music theatres have proven to be a smash hit with patrons, appealing to the 45+ age group.
A few times a year we host fabulous bands like Runaway Train Cult and Atmosferic Jazz whose style of music very much appeals to our general clientele.
